Introducing the first-ever Great Startup Bakeoff happening from Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2, 2024!
Picture this: a weekend filled with innovation, entrepreneurship, and, of course, mouthwatering deliciousness. We’re looking for 50 young baking enthusiasts, ages 14-18 who are interested in flexing their baking muscles, from planning and marketing their product to baking and packaging scrumptious treats to sell at the Baked Goods Market on Sunday.
The event kicks off with teams being formed around a product idea and given a budget to work with. Participants will decide on their product lineup, ranging from bread to cakes to cookies and everything in between with just five ingredients or less. On Saturday, teams will bake and package their items and spend the rest of the day planning their booth setup for Sunday’s Baked Goods Market, with guidance from industry experts.
Whichever team generates the most profit by selling their creations at the Baked Goods Market on Sunday will win the competition! However, win or lose, all teams will keep the money they earned, providing a tangible reward for their hard work and creativity.
