The Downtown Library’s new transformational space, LevelUp, is now open. From entrepreneurs to writers, from investors to business students, this space is for you.

Celebrate with us Friday, November 4 at 2pm for the ribbon cutting and stick around for some live music later in the evening.

Coworking Space
This space features large, custom-made community tables equipped with power and USB plugs along with a laptop bar to provide individuals and groups with a comfortable place to work, collaborate, and learn. iMac computers loaded with design software are available for use as well as access to a high quality color printer.

This space also houses a Bloomberg Terminal, giving Spokane residents access to an enormous wealth of real-time financial information from the market each day. Spokane Public Library is the second public library in the country to offer this service.

Hi-Tech Classroom
With an interactive whiteboard, and state-of-the-art video conferencing equipment, this room offers great flexibility. Users are able to record presentations for future use.

Collaborative Room
Equipped with a flat screen monitor, this room allows users to connect their computer and devices while sharing their screens with a small group. This space can be utilized for everything from a private study area to interactive small group projects, presentations, and meeting spaces.

Meet Daniel

library-st-300x188Hi, I’m Daniel. I am a librarian at the Indian Trail, Hillyard, and East Side libraries. You will usually see me helping people find books and information, use computers and mobile devices, and learn something new in programs and classes. In the near future, I’m looking forward to more opportunities to work with the business community to find ways for the library to help their employees, customers, and the local economy.

In my free time, I try to get out and enjoy nature with my dogs or see live music, but it’s more likely that I will be home reading books about dogs or music.
