Fake Name. Fake Life.
I really enjoyed Fake ID by Lamar Giles. Nick Pearson isn’t his real name. He is starting his fourth new school in four years. His family is in the witness protection program, at least until Dad gets them kicked out. But there is something wrong in Stepton, Virginia. And Nick’s new friend Eli is determined to do an expose in the school paper. Then Eli turns up dead. Should Nick stay out of it, like the program says. Or should he help Eli’s sister find out what is really going on. I recommend this thriller to readers in ninth grade on up.
