A lot can happen in six months
If you like a suspenseful, keep you on the edge of your seat read, I recommend Six Months Later by Natalie Richards. Chloe likes to daydream about handsome jock Blake Tanner instead of worrying about her upcoming SATs. On a beautiful warm May afternoon, she falls asleep in study hall and wakes up in the dark. She glances out the window and sees snow. It is now winter, she has done amazing on her SATs and Blake Tanner is her boyfriend. Her best friend Maggie won’t return her calls, won’t even speak to her. As Chloe realizes she has lost six months of memories, she struggles to not freak out. Spending time with Blake feels weird and uncomfortable and Chloe finds herself turning to Goth boy Adam Reed for help. I could not put this book down! I recommend for teens in grades eight on up.
