Electronic Tools

Spokane Public Library subscribes to several electronic reference sources that can be a big help as you work on school reports and special projects. To activate these tools you may have to type in your library card number as well as your personal identification number (PIN). Have both of them ready.

Biography in Context - delivers outstanding research support with nearly a million biographical entries spanning history and geography.  Find out about people - both historic figures and today's newsmakers and celebrities 


CultureGrams - Fact sheets on countries and states

eLibrary - an easy-to-search magazine and newspaper database for students which includes images, audiovisual materials, and television news transcripts

 

Information Please - facts on thousands of subjects including sports, entertainment, science and technology, business, education, and health


SIRS Discoverer - young students will find everything they need to complete assignments and learn more about their favorite topics, including a science fair explorer, The World Almanac for Kids, biographies, and country facts
