East Side’s featured artist, Kathy Anderson, is a graduate of Eastern Washington University. Her tech skills combined with visual and media art enables her to express her artistic prowess. This month’s display utilizes acrylic paint and digital mixed media.

Anderson’s art is influenced by Marc Chagall’s use of color, the emotion of Frida Kahlo’s work, and Laurie Lipton’s attention to fine detail.

“I feel so fortunate to have access to the works of so many great artists as well as teachers along the way…who helped me to grow artistically.”

In her spare time, Anderson contributes to the local arts community by building websites for musicians, artists, crafters, and authors.
